Two women charged in connection with a fatal motor vehicle crash in Jackson Township will remain detained in the Ocean County Jail pending trial, according to the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office.
The detention orders were issued on September 1, 2026, by Superior Court Judge Kimarie Rahill.
👩 Maria CobonGuzman, 20, of Trenton, was ordered to remain detained on charges of:
🔴 Manslaughter 🚗 Operating a Motor Vehicle Without Ever Having Possessed or Been Issued a Valid Driver’s License While Involved in a Fatal Motor Vehicle Crash ⚠️ Two counts of Assault by Auto
👩 Ariadna Lazaro-Flores, 22, of Toms River, was also ordered detained. She faces a charge of Knowingly Engaging in Conduct Creating a Substantial Risk of Death to Another.
Both cases stem from an incident that occurred in Jackson Township on August 28, 2026.
