🌧️ WEEKEND WEATHER ALERT: HEAVY RAIN & FLASH FLOODING POSSIBLE ACROSS PARTS OF NJ ⛈️

New Jersey faces heavy rain and potential flash flooding starting Saturday night through Sunday morning. Some areas could see rainfall rates up to two inches per hour, which may overwhelm drainage systems and create dangerous driving conditions across the state.

New Jersey's weekend weather forecast is taking a wetter turn, with forecasters warning that showers and thunderstorms could bring periods of heavy rain and localized flash flooding beginning Saturday night.
According to the latest National Weather Service forecast, most of the Garden State should remain mainly dry during the day Saturday, before showers and storms become increasingly likely Saturday evening and continue into early Sunday.

Some of the stronger thunderstorms could produce rainfall rates approaching 2 inches per hour, which may overwhelm drainage systems and lead to rapid flash flooding, particularly in vulnerable locations.
