📍 WATERFORD TOWNSHIP, NJ — A former employee at Waterford Elementary School is facing criminal charges after police say he secretly placed a cellphone inside a faculty restroom to record individuals using the bathroom.
According to the Waterford Township Police Department, authorities became aware of the alleged recording device on August 14, 2026.
Police identified the suspect as Skyler Moore, 20, of Clementon. He was charged with:
🔹 Two counts of third-degree invasion of privacy 🔹 Fourth-degree tampering with evidence
🚨 Authorities said the cellphone did not contain any content involving students or minors.
Waterford Township School District Superintendent Dr. Michael Nolan said the classroom was not in session when the incident occurred and confirmed that no students were involved.
The district said Moore was immediately removed from his position after officials became aware of the allegations. He was prohibited from entering any district buildings or property and was barred from contacting students or staff. Moore was subsequently terminated from employment.
