🚨 WARREN TOWNSHIP MAN ARRESTED FOLLOWING CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE MATERIALS INVESTIGATION šŸš”āš–ļø

The Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office announced the arrest of Craig Babcock, 33, of Warren, New Jersey, following an investigation into the alleged distribution and possession of child sexual abuse materials. According to authorities, the investigation began after the New Jersey State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force received multiple Cyber Tipline Reports from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children regarding alleged files depicting the sexual abuse and/or exploitation of a minor shared through a messaging application platform. Detectives with the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Computer Crimes Unit investigated the reports and allegedly identified Babcock as being associated with the account. On July 29, 2026, detectives from the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office and members of the Warren Township Police Department executed a search warrant at Babcock’s residence, where electronic devices were seized for forensic examination. Babcock was taken into custody without incident. Authorities charged Babcock with: šŸ”¹ 2nd Degree Distribution of Child Sexual Abuse Materials šŸ”¹ 3rd Degree Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Materials šŸ”¹ 3rd Degree Distribution of Obscene Materials to a Minor Babcock was lodged in the Somerset County Jail pending a court hearing.
