🕯️ Victim Identified in Fatal Trenton Shooting
Authorities identified 29-year-old Maicol Eliezer Metzler Chic of Trenton as the victim of a fatal shooting during an attempted robbery on Whittaker Avenue Sunday night. Police are searching for three suspects, and the investigation remains active.
TRENTON, N.J. — Authorities have identified the man who was fatally shot during an apparent attempted robbery in Trenton late Sunday night.
The Mercer County Homicide Task Force and Trenton Police Department are investigating the shooting, which occurred at approximately 11:38 p.m. on August 23 in the 600 block of Whittaker Avenue.
Responding officers found an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. Officers immediately began CPR before the victim was transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
The victim has been identified as 29-year-old Maicol Eliezer Metzler Chic of Trenton.
🔎 According to the preliminary investigation, the shooting occurred during an attempted robbery involving three males.
Authorities have not announced any arrests, and the investigation remains active.
