Secaucus police arrested two women on prostitution charges during a vice enforcement operation on September 3. Officers detained a Bayonne resident and a Bloomfield resident, both of whom were released on summonses pending court appearances.
📍 SECAUCUS, NJ — The Secaucus Police Department’s Anti-Crime Unit made two arrests Thursday as part of an effort to address alleged vice-related activity in the township.
According to police, officers made the arrests on September 3 as part of the department’s enforcement efforts.
👮♀️ At approximately 3:23 p.m., officers arrested Luisa Rojas-Ventura, 22, of Bayonne, on a charge of Engaging in Prostitution, under N.J.S.A. 2C:34-1B(8).
Rojas-Ventura was issued a complaint summons and released from police custody.
🚨 Later that evening, at approximately 6:25 p.m., officers arrested Deborah Santiago, 57, of Bloomfield, on charges of Engaging in Prostitution, under N.J.S.A. 2C:34-1B(8), and Promoting Prostitution, under N.J.S.A. 2C:34-1B(2).
Santiago was also issued a complaint summons and released from police custody.
⚖️ Both cases will proceed through the court system. The charges are accusations, and both defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
