South Orange police are investigating two separate assaults reported on August 29 and 30. A 20-year-old man was attacked by a group on Wilden Place, and a gas station employee was struck by a driver during a dispute over a sale.
South Orange police are investigating two separate assault reports that occurred within a two-day period, including an incident involving a gas station employee and another in which a man reported being attacked by multiple people.
š AUGUST 29 ā MAN ATTACKED BY MULTIPLE PEOPLE
South Orange patrol officers responded to the area of Wilden Place on August 29 after receiving a report of an assault.
According to police, a 20-year-old man told officers that he had been attacked by multiple individuals who were traveling through the area. The victim was treated for injuries, and the department's Detective Bureau was notified to assist with the investigation.
ā½ AUGUST 30 ā GAS STATION EMPLOYEE ASSAULTED
The following day, officers responded to a business on Irvington Avenue following a reported assault involving a gas station employee.
Police said an argument began over a gasoline sale. A man driving a red Dodge Challenger allegedly got out of his vehicle, entered the attendant's booth and struck the employee before leaving the area.
The South Orange Police Department's Detective Bureau is investigating the incident.
