🏥 TWO NJ CHILDREN’S HOSPITALS EARN NATIONAL RECOGNITION FOR BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CARE 💙

NEW JERSEY — Two New Jersey children’s hospitals have earned national recognition in the latest U.S. News & World Report Best Children’s Hospitals rankings.

The 2026–2027 rankings evaluated pediatric hospitals across the country in 11 specialties, examining factors including patient outcomes, clinical practices, available resources and feedback from pediatric specialists.

Among the hospitals recognized in New Jersey are:

🔹 Hackensack Meridian Health JM Sanzari and K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospitals in Hackensack 🔹 The Bristol-Myers Squibb Children’s Hospital at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick

Both hospitals were nationally ranked among the Top 50 in Pediatric & Adolescent Behavioral Health.

🏥 Hackensack Meridian Health JM Sanzari and K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospitals

The hospital received strong evaluations in areas including medication safety screening, patient volume, clinical support, specialized behavioral health programs and emergency and urgent behavioral health services.

Its programs provide access to specialists including psychiatrists, psychologists, developmental-behavioral pediatricians and adolescent medicine professionals. The hospital also holds Magnet recognition for nursing.

🏥 Bristol-Myers Squibb Children’s Hospital at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital

The New Brunswick hospital was recognized for its behavioral health programs, staffing, family support services, quality improvement efforts and involvement in clinical research.

It also received strong evaluations for specialized services, emergency care and efforts to involve patients and families in their care.

📊 U.S. News said the 2026–2027 rankings recognized 90 children's hospitals across 34 states and Washington, D.C. The publication has produced its children's hospital rankings for 20 years as a resource for families, physicians and caregivers navigating pediatric medical care.

🌟 Nationally, 11 hospitals earned a place on the publication's Honor Roll for strong performance across multiple pediatric specialties.

For New Jersey families, the recognition highlights the availability of nationally recognized pediatric behavioral health services within the state.
