🚨🔥 TWO DEAD, TWO FIREFIGHTERS INJURED AFTER JAMESBURG HOUSE FIRE 🔥🚨
Two residents died and a third was injured after a fast-moving fire destroyed a Jamesburg home early Sunday morning. Two firefighters also suffered minor injuries while battling the flames, which caused the building's porch to collapse.
JAMESBURG, NJ — Two people are dead and another resident was rescued after a fast-moving house fire tore through a residence on Front Street in Jamesburg early Sunday morning, authorities said.
The fire was reported at approximately 1:02 a.m. When emergency crews arrived, they found the home heavily involved in flames, with the porch structure collapsed and fire spreading throughout the residence.
A 39-year-old woman was located inside the home and transported to Old Bridge Medical Center for treatment.
A second resident, identified as 67-year-old Sandra Dutcher of Jamesburg, was also found inside with serious injuries. She was transported to the hospital but was pronounced deceased while en route.
A third resident was located inside the home unresponsive and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Jamesburg Mayor Thomas Emens said he arrived approximately 10 minutes after the fire began and witnessed the front and side of the residence engulfed in flames.
🚒 Firefighters battled the blaze through the early morning hours, ultimately bringing the fire under control around sunrise.
Two firefighters were also transported to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Multiple emergency agencies responded to the incident, including the Jamesburg Fire Department, Jamesburg Police Department, Monroe Township EMS, mutual-aid fire departments and Middlesex County officials.
Mayor Emens thanked the emergency responders for their efforts and asked the community to keep the victims, their families and everyone affected by the tragedy in their thoughts.
