New Jersey State Police arrested three men from New Jersey and New York for child endangerment following an undercover sting. Investigators say the suspects were caught arranging in-person meetings with officers who were posing as minors online.
š NEW JERSEY / NEW YORK ā Three men have been arrested following a multiagency investigation targeting the alleged online exploitation of children, according to state police.
Investigators say the suspects believed they were communicating online with minors. Authorities said, however, that the individuals they were communicating with were actually undercover investigators posing as children.
According to police, the online conversations were used to arrange potential in-person meetings.
The suspects identified by authorities are:
š¹ Stephane Pontoizeau, 39, of Mendham, New Jersey š¹ Leroy Bruyn, 54, of Pine Bush, New York š¹ Ramon Josue Lopez-Moreno, 31, of Liberty, New York
All three men are facing child endangerment charges in connection with the investigation.
š®āāļø State police said the investigation remains ongoing. Investigators plan to conduct additional follow-up work and review information gathered during the operation to determine whether there may be additional victims, offenses or other individuals involved.
ā ļø Charges are accusations, and all defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
