🚨🚜 STOLEN EXCAVATOR RECOVERED IN FAIRFIELD, MILLVILLE MAN CHARGED 🚜🚨

📍 FAIRFIELD, NJ — A Millville man is facing charges after Fairfield police recovered a stolen mini excavator that was being tracked by GPS to a residential property.

The Fairfield Police Department said officers responded to the Plog Road area around 4:03 p.m. on July 15, 2026, after receiving information that a stolen Kubota U17 mini excavator was actively being tracked to the area.

The excavator had previously been reported stolen to the Newark, Delaware Police Department after it was allegedly rented from a Home Depot and never returned.

📡 Using the GPS tracking information, Fairfield officers located the excavator in the side yard of a residence on Plog Road.

Police said the resident told officers he had purchased the equipment through Facebook Marketplace and provided investigators with information about the person who allegedly sold it to him.

🔎 Detective Nicholas Cocchi continued the investigation, reviewing photographs, electronic communications, transaction records and video footage connected to the sale.

According to police, a photo array was later conducted, and the purchaser positively identified Raymond Iddeen of Millville as the individual who allegedly sold him the excavator.

On September 22, 2026, Iddeen was charged with:

Iddeen is scheduled to appear in Essex County Superior Court.
