📍 STAFFORD TOWNSHIP, NJ — Stafford Township police are seeking a Bronx man who investigators say was identified as the suspect in a credit card theft and fraud investigation involving a Route 72 Home Depot.
The Stafford Township Police Department said its Detective Bureau concluded the investigation on July 31, 2026, identifying 20-year-old Joseph Diaz-Herra of Carroll Place in the Bronx, New York, as the suspect.
🔎 The investigation stems from an incident reported on April 8 at the Home Depot on Route 72. Police said someone unlawfully used a victim's credit card information to purchase approximately $973 worth of assorted flooring products.
According to police, the credit card information was manually entered during the transaction.
⚖️ An arrest warrant has been issued for Diaz-Herra. Police say he faces several charges, including:
• Third-degree knowingly exhibiting a false government-issued driver's license or other identification • Third-degree intent to commit credit card fraud • Fourth-degree credit card theft • Third-degree fraudulent use of a credit card • Third-degree theft by deception
