🚔 Readington Township Man Arrested After Controlled Substances Allegedly Sent Through Mail
Readington Township police arrested 47-year-old David Develder after he allegedly received packages of illegal drugs through the mail. Authorities intercepted the parcels, which were addressed to a YouTube pseudonym, and charged him with multiple counts of drug possession.
READINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ — August 16, 2026 — A 47-year-old Readington Township man has been arrested following an investigation into packages allegedly containing controlled dangerous substances that were sent through the mail, authorities announced.
Hunterdon County Prosecutor Renée M. Robeson and Readington Township Police Chief Steve Rindock said David Develder, 47, was arrested August 13 and charged with possession of controlled dangerous substances and possession of prescription legend drugs with intent to distribute.
The investigation began August 7, when detectives with the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Task Force were notified about two packages addressed to “Henri Hotsauce,” described by authorities as a YouTube moniker, at a Readington Township address.
According to investigators, the packages were tested and found to contain controlled dangerous substances.
📦 Controlled Delivery Leads to Arrest
On August 13, members of the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, U.S. Homeland Security, Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Task Force and Readington Township Police Department coordinated a controlled delivery of the packages.
Authorities said Develder was taken into custody without incident shortly after the parcels were delivered to the original destination. 🚔📦
Develder faces:
🔹 Second-degree possession of prescription legend drugs with intent to distribute 🔹 Third-degree possession of a controlled dangerous substance without a prescription
The investigation remains ongoing.
Develder was released pending his first court appearance, which is scheduled for August 19, 2026.
