A Pleasantville home was heavily damaged and ultimately destroyed by a fire Tuesday afternoon after firefighters were initially dispatched for reports of a possible explosion, according to the Pleasantville Fire Department.
Firefighters arrived to find heavy fire conditions at the residence and immediately began working to contain the flames. As conditions changed, crews shifted their efforts toward protecting nearby homes and structures. 🚒🔥
Fortunately, all occupants had safely evacuated before firefighters arrived, and authorities confirmed that everyone was accounted for.
One firefighter suffered a minor injury while battling the blaze. Four residents were displaced from their home and are receiving assistance from the American Red Cross. ❤️
