šØ Pine Hill Woman Charged Following Fatal E-Bike Crash in Lindenwold

A Pine Hill woman faces a death by auto charge after allegedly driving under the influence and striking an e-bike rider in Lindenwold. The victim, a 46-year-old local resident, was pronounced dead at the scene following the Saturday night crash.
LINDENWOLD, NJ ā August 18, 2026 ā A Pine Hill woman has been arrested and charged following a fatal crash involving an e-bike in Lindenwold Saturday night, according to the Camden County Prosecutor's Office and Lindenwold Police Department.
Police said officers were dispatched around 10:24 p.m. on August 15 to the 1900 block of Laurel Road for a reported motor vehicle crash.
Upon arrival, officers discovered that a vehicle had struck a person riding an e-bike.
The e-bike operator was identified as Erica Beeks, 46, of Lindenwold. Beeks was pronounced deceased at the scene at approximately 10:42 p.m. ššļø
The driver, identified as Deborah Carey, 65, of Pine Hill, was arrested at the scene.
Carey was charged with second-degree Death by Auto and was also issued multiple motor vehicle summonses, including a charge for allegedly driving under the influence. She was remanded to the Camden County Correctional Facility.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. Detectives are asking anyone who witnessed the crash or has information that could assist investigators to come forward.
