🎗️ NJ MOM FACING BREAST CANCER SEEKS HELP WITH MEDICAL BILLS & EVERYDAY EXPENSES

📍 HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — A Hillsborough mother is asking for community support as she prepares for breast cancer surgery and a difficult recovery.

Caitlin Quinoñes, a single mother raising her 13-year-old daughter, was diagnosed with breast cancer on July 31 following a routine mammogram after turning 40. Additional testing and a biopsy led to the diagnosis, and she is now preparing for surgery.

Quinoñes works at a private school in Skillman supporting children with special needs. Because of her upcoming treatment and recovery, she expects to be unable to return to work immediately.

While out on disability, she also expects to continue paying more than $500 per month for health insurance, adding to the financial strain of her diagnosis.

A friend has created a GoFundMe campaign to help Quinoñes with medical expenses, household bills, groceries and other necessities while she focuses on recovering.

She is also preparing for the physical challenges following surgery, including purchasing a recliner because she expects limited use of her arms for several weeks. She is currently seeking assistance from her insurance regarding the cost.

Quinoñes has spent years working with children with special needs and has volunteered with the Girl Scouts for approximately 13 years. Now, she is hoping the community can provide some of the support she has spent years giving to others. ❤️
