Newark police are searching for a man who allegedly caused a woman’s car to overturn after intentionally rear-ending her vehicle early Friday morning. The woman is in stable condition, and investigators are asking the public for help identifying the suspect.
NEWARK, NJ — Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a man accused of intentionally crashing into another vehicle early Friday morning, sending the victim’s car off the roadway and onto a nearby lawn.
According to authorities, a woman was traveling along Eastern Parkway at approximately 4:20 a.m. when she was allegedly followed by a man known to her.
Police say the suspect subsequently rear-ended the woman’s vehicle, causing it to overturn before coming to rest on a nearby lawn. 🚗💥
The suspect reportedly fled the area on foot and was last known to be traveling in an unknown direction.
🚑 The victim was transported to University Hospital for treatment and was reported to be in stable condition.
The investigation remains ongoing as detectives work to identify and locate the suspect.
