Newark police are searching for a suspect who stole $200 and three cellphones from a vehicle parked near Dolby Place and Lincoln Street. Investigators released surveillance footage from the September 5th incident and are asking anyone with information to contact the department.
NEWARK, NJ — Newark police are asking for the public’s help identifying a male suspect accused of entering a vehicle and stealing cash and three cellphones.
According to Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda Sr., the incident occurred on Saturday, September 5, 2026, near Dolby Place and Lincoln Street.
🎥 Surveillance video reportedly captured the suspect entering the vehicle at approximately 3 a.m. Police say the suspect was wearing dark clothing and removed approximately $200 in cash along with three cellphones.

• iPhone 14 • Two Samsung Z Fold smartphones
