🇺🇸🕊️ NEW JERSEY TO REMEMBER: 9/11 MEMORIALS & REMEMBRANCE CEREMONIES ACROSS THE STATE
New Jersey communities will hold various ceremonies, candlelight vigils, and musical tributes to mark the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks. Events are scheduled in towns including Atlantic City, Jersey City, and Parsippany to honor victims and first responders.
NEW JERSEY — As the Garden State prepares to mark the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, communities throughout New Jersey will gather for memorial ceremonies, candlelight vigils and moments of remembrance honoring the nearly 3,000 people killed in the attacks, the first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice, survivors and everyone whose lives were changed forever.
🕯️ HERE ARE SOME OF THE 9/11 REMEMBRANCE EVENTS TAKING PLACE ACROSS NEW JERSEY:
📍 ATLANTIC CITY 🕙 September 11 at 10:00 a.m. The annual ceremony will be held at the Saracini-O’Neill Atlantic City 9/11 Memorial. The remembrance includes patriotic music, a memorial flag presentation and additional tributes honoring the victims and heroes of 9/11.
📍 BERGEN COUNTY — OVERPECK COUNTY PARK 🕯️ September 10 at 6:30 p.m. — Memorial Vigil 🇺🇸 September 11 — Annual Memorial Ceremony Bergen County will hold a special candlelight vigil featuring the New Jersey Wind Symphony, followed by its annual remembrance ceremony at Overpeck County Park.
📍 CHERRY HILL 🕣 September 11 at 8:30 a.m. A 9/11 remembrance ceremony will take place at the township's memorial at Fire Headquarters, 1100 Marlkress Road. The event is open to the public.
📍 JERSEY CITY 🕣 September 11 at 8:30 a.m. The state ceremony will take place at the Empty Sky Memorial at Liberty State Park, honoring New Jersey residents who lost their lives on September 11.
📍 PARSIPPANY-TROY HILLS 🕣 September 11 at 8:40 a.m. A remembrance ceremony will be held at the municipal building memorial, including a wreath presentation and reading of the names of local victims.
📍 WILDWOOD CREST 🕗 September 11 at 8:00 a.m. A morning remembrance ceremony will be held at Centennial Park. Wildwood Crest is among several communities in the Wildwoods area hosting ceremonies ahead of the Wildwoods Air Show weekend.
📍 LIVINGSTON 🕓 September 11 at 4:00 p.m. Livingston will hold its annual 9/11 Ceremony of Remembrance at the 9/11 Living Memorial Garden at the Livingston Memorial Oval, honoring seven local residents who died in the attacks.
📍 CARTERET 🕕 September 11 at 6:00 p.m. A 9/11 Memorial Ceremony will be held at Carteret Park.
📍 OLD BRIDGE 🕕 September 11 at 6:00 p.m. Old Bridge Township will hold its annual 9/11 Memorial Ceremony at 1 Old Bridge Plaza.
📍 PISCATAWAY 🕕 September 11 at 6:00 p.m. The Piscataway Elks Lodge will host a Patriot's Day remembrance at Elks Lodge #2414, 450 River Road.
📍 WILDWOOD / NORTH WILDWOOD / WILDWOOD CREST Several remembrance events are scheduled throughout the Wildwoods on September 11, including ceremonies in North Wildwood, Downtown Wildwood and Wildwood Crest before the Wildwoods Air Show weekend. 🇺🇸✈️
