🚨 Motorcyclist Dies Following Crash in Bridgewater Township

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — August 24, 2026 — A 29-year-old Somerset man has died following a serious motorcycle crash Sunday afternoon at the intersection of Finderne Avenue and East Main Street in Bridgewater Township.

According to the Bridgewater Township Police Department, officers were dispatched to the intersection around 4:12 p.m. on August 23 for a collision involving a 2014 Suzuki GSX motorcycle and a 2017 Ford F-150.

When officers arrived, they found the motorcycle operator lying in the roadway, unresponsive and not breathing. Officers immediately began CPR and continued lifesaving efforts until paramedics arrived.

The motorcyclist was transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset in Somerville, where he was later pronounced deceased.

The driver of the Ford F-150, a 68-year-old Somerville man, was not injured.

🔎 Preliminary Investigation

Investigators said the motorcycle was traveling southbound on Finderne Avenue in the right lane while the Ford F-150 was traveling northbound.

Police said the pickup attempted to turn left onto East Main Street and entered the motorcycle's path. The motorcycle struck the passenger side of the truck, ejecting the rider.

Finderne Avenue was closed for several hours as members of the Bridgewater Township Police Department Traffic Safety Unit investigated the scene.

The investigation remains ongoing.
