A Long Branch man was arrested for allegedly dumping more than 10 cubic yards of household trash at a Wall Township business. Police linked the suspect to five incidents after tracing a white box truck seen at the property to his home.
A Long Branch man is facing multiple charges after Wall Township police say he was connected to five separate illegal dumping incidents at a commercial property.
According to the Wall Township Police Department, Jovane Jordan, 28, allegedly dumped household trash and other unwanted items at a business on Campus Parkway between August 12 and September 8.
Police said officers responded to the business three times after receiving reports that someone was repeatedly dumping items on the property without authorization.
Investigators allege the materials had recently been sold at auction and were being stored at facilities before being illegally discarded. Authorities estimate that more than 10 cubic yards of unwanted items were dumped, resulting in cleanup and removal costs exceeding $2,000.
š Investigators said a white box truck equipped with a snowplow was observed at the location and was later traced to Jordan's Long Branch address.
Jordan was arrested Tuesday and charged with:
āļø Third-degree criminal mischief āļø Third-degree unlawful disposal of waste āļø Resisting arrest, a disorderly persons offense āļø Petty disorderly persons criminal trespassing āļø Illegal dumping, in violation of a Wall Township ordinance
Police said Jordan's 2003 GMC 3500 rack-body truck was impounded following his arrest and is being held pending forfeiture proceedings.
Jordan was transported to the Monmouth County Jail.
The investigation was led by Wall Township Police Detective Zach Honecker.
