🚨 Juvenile Charged in Fatal Camden Stabbing
Authorities arrested a 15-year-old boy from Trenton for the fatal August 1 stabbing of a Camden man. The teenager faces a first-degree murder charge after the victim, 28-year-old Davinne Evans, collapsed and died at Cooper University Hospital.
CAMDEN, N.J. — A 15-year-old Trenton boy has been arrested and charged in connection with the fatal stabbing of a Camden man earlier this month, authorities announced.
According to the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office and Camden County Police Department, officers responded to Cooper University Hospital at approximately 2:53 a.m. on August 1, 2026, after a stabbing victim arrived at the hospital and collapsed outside a parking garage.
The victim was identified as 28-year-old Davinne Evans of Camden. Evans was pronounced dead at approximately 3:49 a.m.
Investigators later identified a crime scene in the area of Broadway and Stevens Street and determined that the juvenile was responsible for the fatal stabbing.
The juvenile was arrested on August 22 and is charged with:
🔴 First-degree Murder 🔴 Third-degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose 🔴 Fourth-degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon
Because the defendant is a juvenile, additional identifying information was not released.
