🚨🕯️ JERSEY CITY, NJ: FATAL PEDESTRIAN CRASH PROMPTS ROAD CLOSURES FOR INVESTIGATION
A 58-year-old man died after being struck by a vehicle early Thursday morning on Routes 1 and 9 in Jersey City. Part of the highway will close for several hours this Sunday morning while authorities continue their investigation into the crash.
A 58-year-old pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle early Thursday morning in Jersey City, according to the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office.
The victim, identified as Glenn Minasian, 58, was struck at approximately 5:00 a.m. on Routes 1 and 9 near Duncan Avenue.
🚑 Minasian was transported to Jersey City Medical Center with serious injuries. Officials said he was later pronounced dead.
The vehicle involved in the crash remained at the scene, according to authorities.
🔎 The Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit and the Jersey City Police Department are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.

As part of the ongoing investigation, Routes 1 and 9 northbound between Communipaw Avenue and Duncan Avenue will be closed to traffic on:

Motorists traveling through the area during those hours are encouraged to use alternate routes and allow additional travel time.
