🚨🚔 JERSEY CITY MAN ARRESTED AFTER ALLEGED ASSAULT AND POLICE FOOT PURSUIT IN SECAUCUS 🚔🚨
Secaucus police arrested a Jersey City man Wednesday night after he allegedly committed an assault at a Sam’s Club and fled on foot. Dante Moore faces multiple charges, including aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest.
📍 SECAUCUS, NJ — A Jersey City man was taken into custody Wednesday night after police responded to a reported assault at a Sam’s Club parking lot and said the suspect later fled from officers on foot.
According to the Secaucus Police Department, officers responded at approximately 10:35 p.m. on September 3 to the parking lot of Sam’s Club, located at 300 Millcreek Drive, following a report of an assault.
Police were informed that the involved individual had fled the area on foot. Officers subsequently located a man matching the description, but police said he ran from officers in an attempt to evade them.
🚔 The pursuit continued until officers were able to take the man into custody in the area of 400 Plaza Drive.
Police identified the suspect as Dante Moore, 26, of Jersey City.
Moore was charged with:
🔴 Aggravated Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer 🔴 Obstruction by Flight 🔴 Resisting Arrest 🔴 Unlawful Possession of a Weapon 🔴 Terroristic Threats
Authorities also reported that Moore had an outstanding $100 warrant issued by Weehawken, New Jersey.
⚖️ Following his arrest, Moore was taken to the county jail pending further court proceedings.
The charges are accusations, and Moore is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
