Jackson Township police are investigating two alleged bias crimes involving vandalism at the Chai Lifeline facility and antisemitic graffiti at a BMG school. Authorities have identified suspects in the school burglary and increased patrols at local religious organizations.
The Jackson Township Police Department announced it is actively investigating two separate incidents being treated as alleged bias crimes. The first case involves three separate acts of criminal mischief at the Chai Lifeline facility on County Line Road, where windows were intentionally damaged. Police said the repeated targeting of the Jewish faith-based organization led investigators to classify the incidents as alleged bias crimes. The second case involves a burglary and vandalism at the BMG facility on South Hope Chapel Road. According to police, seven individuals unlawfully entered the building, caused extensive damage, and left antisemitic and anti-African American messages throughout the school. Investigators say suspects have been identified, and the case remains an active criminal investigation. Jackson Township Police said they have increased patrols around areas of concern and emphasized that hate-motivated crimes have no place in the community.
