Hillsborough Township police charged a 64-year-old Franklin Park man with animal cruelty on August 11. The charge follows the release of a video showing the man sitting on a calf that was struggling to breathe during a training session.
HILLSBOROUGH TOWNSHIP, NJ ā A 64-year-old Franklin Park man is facing an animal cruelty charge after police say a video showed him sitting on a calf while the animal was struggling to breathe.
According to the Hillsborough Township Police Department, Keith Brown, 64, of Franklin Park, was charged with animal cruelty, a disorderly persons offense, on August 11, 2026.
š¹ Police said the charge stems from a video depicting Brown training a calf at a farm on River Road.
Authorities said the video showed the calf struggling to breathe while Brown was sitting on the animal as it was in distress.
āļø Brown was served with a summons and advised of his upcoming Hillsborough Township Municipal Court date.
ā ļø IMPORTANT: The charge is an accusation, and Brown is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
