🐶💔 Four Puppies Rescued After Being Found Abandoned in Freehold Township
The Monmouth County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals rescued four abandoned puppies found near a CVS in Freehold Township. Officials are asking the public for any information that could help identify where the dogs came from.
FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP, NJ — August 24, 2026 — The Monmouth County SPCA is asking for the public’s help after a group of puppies was found abandoned and alone in Freehold Township.
According to the animal welfare organization, three puppies were discovered near the Freehold CVS in the area of Main Street and Redwood Lane. The puppies were reportedly found appearing frightened and in need of care.
The Monmouth County SPCA later confirmed that a fourth puppy was also rescued and brought to the shelter for treatment and care.
🐾 Officials are now hoping members of the community may have information that could help determine where the puppies came from and how they ended up abandoned.
