Essex and Union counties are under a flood advisory until 9:00 PM tonight due to heavy rainfall and thunderstorms. Residents should avoid driving through flooded streets and stay away from low-lying areas prone to sudden water buildup.
A Flood Advisory has been issued for portions of Essex County and Union County due to the potential for flooding from heavy rainfall.

Residents should use caution, particularly in low-lying areas, poor-drainage locations and areas prone to street flooding. Heavy thunderstorms this evening may produce additional periods of intense rainfall.
