The National Weather Service issued a flash flood warning for Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Passaic, and Union counties until 7:45 p.m. tonight. Heavy thunderstorms could cause dangerous flooding on roads and in low-lying areas across North Jersey.
NORTH JERSEY ā The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Warning for Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Passaic and Union Counties, effective until 7:45 PM this evening.
š§ļø Heavy rainfall from thunderstorms is producing the potential for rapid and dangerous flooding, particularly along roadways, streams, low-lying areas and locations with poor drainage.
ā ļø Residents in the warned area should take flooding seriously and be prepared to move to higher ground if necessary.
š Never drive through a flooded roadway. Water can rise quickly and may be deeper and more powerful than it appears.
Stay alert for additional weather warnings as storms continue moving across the region.
