The National Weather Service issued a flash flood warning for Atlantic, Cape May, and Cumberland counties until 8:45 p.m. Heavy rain could cause dangerous flooding in low-lying areas, and drivers are warned never to travel through flooded roads.
SOUTHERN NEW JERSEY β The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Warning for portions of Atlantic, Cape May and Cumberland Counties, effective until 8:45 PM today.
π Heavy rainfall and thunderstorms may produce rapid and dangerous flooding, particularly in low-lying areas, poor-drainage locations, and roadways.
π Motorists should use extreme caution and never drive through a flooded roadway. Water may be deeper and moving faster than it appears.
Residents in the warned area should monitor weather alerts closely and be prepared to move to higher ground if flooding becomes imminent.
