Gloucester County Emergency Management has issued a Flash Flood Warning until 5:30 AM due to storms producing heavy rainfall. Residents are urged to avoid driving through flooded roads and to stay alert as storms move through the Philadelphia metropolitan area.
âď¸ GLOUCESTER COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ALERT
Gloucester County Emergency Management is warning residents that a Flash Flood Warning is in effect for portions of the area through 5:30 AM.
Storms approaching the Philadelphia metropolitan area are producing rainfall rates near 2 inches per hour, creating the potential for localized flash flooding, particularly in urban and poor-drainage areas.
đ§ď¸ Localized flash flooding may occur through approximately 3â4 AM.
⥠Frequent lightning is occurring with these storms. The threat for damaging winds and hail is currently low.
đ¨ DO NOT DRIVE THROUGH FLOODED ROADS!
Turn around and find an alternate route if you encounter water covering the roadway. Never attempt to drive through flooded areas when you cannot determine the depth or condition of the road.
