A flash flood warning is in effect for Essex, Hudson, and Union counties until 3:30 p.m. today. Heavy thunderstorms could cause dangerous flooding in low-lying areas and roads, so officials urge drivers never to travel through flooded streets.

🌧️ Dangerous flash flooding is possible as heavy thunderstorms continue to move through the region. Flooding may occur quickly in low-lying areas, roadways, underpasses and areas with poor drainage.
