🚨 FIVE MEN CHARGED IN CONNECTION WITH ARMED ROBBERY & AGGRAVATED ASSAULT IN SOUTH HACKENSACK 🚨
Five men from New Jersey and Pennsylvania face charges including armed robbery and aggravated assault following a May attack in South Hackensack. Authorities arrested all five suspects in August after an investigation into the robbery, which left one victim with head injuries.
SOUTH HACKENSACK, NJ — Five men from New Jersey and Pennsylvania have been charged in connection with an armed robbery and aggravated assault that left a man with a non-life-threatening head injury earlier this year, according to Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella.
The defendants were identified as:
🔹 Ajahmir S. Cuttino, 23, of Scranton, PA 🔹 Rhyonne S. Jackson, 24, of Passaic, NJ 🔹 Ajahwan T. Kenner, 26, of West Orange, NJ 🔹 Antrell Monroe, 24, of Wilkes-Barre, PA 🔹 Jahad K. Watson, 24, of Wilkes-Barre, PA
🔎 INVESTIGATION
On May 9, 2026, South Hackensack police responded to a local hospital after a reported robbery and assault on Saddle River Road.
Investigators determined that an adult male victim had been struck over the head with a metal object that he believed was a handgun. The victim suffered a head wound that was treated at the hospital before he was released.
Police say five individuals, including one person who appeared to have a handgun, robbed and physically assaulted the victim before fleeing with cash and personal belongings. Their alleged getaway vehicle was identified as a black Jeep Grand Cherokee.
After several months of investigation, detectives identified the five suspects.
⚖️ CHARGES FILED
On August 26, 2026, arrest warrants were issued charging all five defendants with:
• First-degree armed robbery • Second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon • Second-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose • Third-degree aggravated assault • Fourth-degree aggravated assault by pointing a firearm
🚔 THREE ARRESTED IN NEW JERSEY
On August 27, detectives located Jackson, Kenner and Monroe in Passaic County with assistance from the Passaic and West Orange police departments. All three were taken into custody without incident.
A court-authorized search warrant was also executed at Jackson’s Passaic residence with assistance from the Bergen County Regional SWAT Team.
Authorities said detectives recovered an unserialized firearm loaded with a high-capacity magazine inside a backpack believed to belong to Jackson.
Jackson faces additional charges related to unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of an unserialized firearm.
All three men were remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending further court proceedings.
🚨 TWO ARRESTED IN PENNSYLVANIA
Also on August 27, detectives located Cuttino and Watson in Pennsylvania with assistance from the Wilkes-Barre City and Scranton police departments.
Both men were taken into custody without incident by Pennsylvania authorities.
Watson was lodged in the Luzerne County Jail, while Cuttino was lodged in the Lackawanna County Prison. Both remain detained pending extradition to Bergen County, New Jersey.
🤝 Prosecutor Musella thanked the agencies involved in the investigation and multi-jurisdictional arrests, including law enforcement agencies in Bergen, Passaic and Essex counties, as well as departments in Scranton and Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.
⚠️ IMPORTANT: The charges are accusations. All five defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in court.
