🚨 FATAL OFFICER-INVOLVED SHOOTING UNDER INVESTIGATION IN MILLVILLE 🚨

📍 MILLVILLE, NJ — A daylong police response at a home on Hazel Boulevard in Millville ended Thursday with the fatal shooting of an adult male civilian, according to the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office.

👮‍♂️ Neighbors reported seeing police arrive at the residence around 8:00 a.m., with the situation appearing to involve a standoff. Officers were reportedly positioned around the property throughout the day, while a shattered window was visible from the street.

📢 One nearby resident said officers could be heard communicating with a man inside the home through a loudspeaker, repeatedly asking him to come outside and indicating they wanted to make sure he was safe.

🚑 Around 1:00 p.m., neighbors said emergency medical personnel arrived and officers began coming back outside, signaling a significant change in the situation.

Investigators continued entering and leaving the residence into the evening, with police activity reportedly continuing until approximately 11:00 p.m.

⚠️ The Attorney General’s Office confirmed that its Office of Public Integrity and Accountability is investigating the officer-involved shooting.

One adult male civilian was pronounced dead. Authorities have not released the identity of the deceased man or the officer involved.

Neighbors described the man as being in his 40s and said he lived at the residence with his mother and girlfriend.
