Neptune Township Police arrested a 19-year-old man for allegedly remaining inside a family’s apartment for four hours while they slept. Justin Johnson faces burglary charges after a home camera captured the incident at the Jumping Brook Apartments.

A 19-year-old man has been arrested after police say he entered an occupied apartment at the Jumping Brook Apartments while a family was asleep inside.
The Neptune Township Police Department said officers received a report on September 8, 2026, after a resident discovered that an unidentified man had entered the family's residence while household members were sleeping in their bedrooms.
According to police, the suspect remained inside the apartment for nearly four hours before leaving. The resident's "doggy camera" captured the incident. No items were reported stolen. 📹
Detectives with the Neptune Township Police Department's Detective Bureau investigated the case and were able to identify a suspect.
On September 11, 2026, officers located and arrested Justin Johnson, 19, who police said had recently moved to Neptune Township.
Johnson was charged with burglary of an occupied residence. He was also charged with trespassing in connection with an incident reported at the same apartment complex on July 19, 2026.
Johnson was transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution pending a detention hearing under New Jersey's bail reform system.
