🚨 EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP MAN PLEADS GUILTY TO SEXUALLY ASSAULTING STEPDAUGHTER
Rufino Carreron-Peralta, a 50-year-old Egg Harbor Township man, pleaded guilty to aggravated sexual assault of his stepdaughter under age 13. Under a plea agreement, he faces 18 years in state prison for the assault and for filming the abuse.
EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP, NJ — A 50-year-old Egg Harbor Township man has pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting his stepdaughter, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office.
Authorities announced the plea on Friday, August 14, 2026.
Rufino Carreron-Peralta pleaded guilty to aggravated sexual assault involving a victim under the age of 13.
Under the terms of a negotiated plea agreement, Carreron-Peralta also pleaded guilty to endangering the welfare of a child by permitting a child to engage in the filming of a prohibited sexual act.
As part of the agreement, Carreron-Peralta faces 18 years in state prison.
A future court proceeding will determine the final sentence in the case.
