🎤 CeeLo Green to Headline Free Concert at Carteret Multicultural Day Festival

CARTERET, NJ — September 4, 2026 — Carteret is getting ready for a major five-day celebration of music, food, culture and community — and this year’s headline performer is a five-time Grammy Award winner. 🏆🎶

CeeLo Green will perform a FREE concert at 8 p.m. Saturday, September 19, as part of Carteret’s annual Multicultural Day celebration at Carteret Park.

The festival runs September 16 through September 20 and will feature live entertainment, carnival rides and games, food trucks, cultural performances, vendors and more. 🎡🌮🎨

The celebration will feature a different entertainment theme throughout the week:

🎷 Sept. 16: Live Jazz 🎧 Sept. 17: DJ Electronic Dance Music 🎤 Sept. 18: Freestyle Night 🌟 Sept. 19: CeeLo Green — 8 p.m. 🚘 Sept. 20: Classic Car Show

Following CeeLo Green’s September 19 performance, attendees can enjoy a special light show and fireworks display. 🎆✨

🎤 Freestyle Night

Friday night’s entertainment, running from 6–11 p.m., will feature performances by:

Organizers say the festival will also showcase food, art and craft vendors, cultural performances and cuisine representing cultures from around the world. 🌎❤️

🎡 Carnival & Community Celebration

Festival and carnival admission is free, although rides, games and food purchases are additional.

The event is part of Carteret’s long-running community carnival tradition and also serves as a fundraiser for The Children’s Charity Trust.

According to Mayor Dan Reiman, the celebration gives residents an opportunity to come together as summer comes to an end while highlighting the cultural diversity that makes Carteret unique.
