🚨 CAMDEN COUNTY MAN ARRESTED AFTER ALLEGEDLY EXPOSING HIMSELF TO MINORS IN HADDON TOWNSHIP
Police arrested a 28-year-old Camden man for allegedly exposing himself to minors and attempting to lure them near a Haddon Township Target. Authorities believe he is linked to similar incidents since June and are searching for additional victims or witnesses.
HADDON TOWNSHIP, NJ — A 28-year-old Camden man has been arrested after authorities say he repeatedly engaged in inappropriate sexual conduct in view of minors and attempted to lure them toward him on multiple occasions in Haddon Township.
According to the Haddon Township Police Department, officers responded around 9:30 p.m. on August 11 to the area of 602 W. Cuthbert Boulevard, near Target, after three juveniles, ages 15 and 16, reported seeing a man exposing himself and engaging in a lewd sexual act.
Police said the man allegedly motioned for the juveniles to approach him and told them, “Come over.” The juveniles immediately left the area and contacted police.
The suspect reportedly fled in a red 2009 Toyota Corolla and was later located by detectives. He was taken to Haddon Township Police Headquarters before being transported to the Camden County Correctional Facility.
Authorities identified the suspect as Axel Novaberganza, 28, of Camden.
Novaberganza faces multiple charges, including second-degree luring, third-degree endangering the welfare of a child, and fourth-degree criminal sexual contact in connection with the August 11 incident.
🔎 EARLIER REPORTS ALSO LINKED TO SUSPECT
Detectives said Novaberganza has also been connected to two earlier reports involving similar alleged conduct near Newton Creek and Lees Lane.
On June 21, three juveniles, ages 15 and 16, reportedly encountered a man engaging in similar behavior and attempting to get them to approach him.
On July 14, an adult reported seeing a man engaging in similar conduct in the area.
Additional charges were filed in connection with the June 21 incident, while Novaberganza was also charged with lewdness stemming from the July 14 report.
🚔 POLICE SEEK ADDITIONAL WITNESSES OR VICTIMS
Detectives believe there may be additional witnesses or victims who have not yet contacted authorities. Anyone who may have encountered Novaberganza, observed similar behavior, or remembers seeing the red Toyota Corolla in the areas mentioned is encouraged to contact police.
