Brick Township teen Joshua Guarino died early Thursday morning after his vehicle veered off Squankum-Allenwood Road in Wall Township. Family members are remembering the eighteen-year-old high school student as a bright and caring young man while police investigate the crash.
WALL TOWNSHIP, NJ β August 16, 2026 β An 18-year-old Brick Township resident who was killed in an early-morning crash in Wall Township is being remembered by his family as an adventurous, caring and bright young man.
Family members identified the victim as Joshua Guarino, a student at Brick Memorial High School.
According to Wall Township Police, Guarino was killed shortly after 5:30 a.m. Thursday when the vehicle he was driving left the roadway on Squankum-Allenwood Road and crashed.
The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation.
In a GoFundMe campaign created to help cover funeral and burial expenses, Joshua's cousins, Gabrielle and Gianna Masucci, described him as someone who brought light to the lives of those around him.
βJoshua was an adventurous, caring, and bright young man who brought so much light into the lives of those around him,β the family wrote.
They said he will be remembered for his warmth, smile and the love he shared with family and friends.
βHe had his whole life ahead of him,β the family said, describing his death as a sudden and unimaginable loss. π
The family is now coming together to honor Joshua's life and provide him with the funeral and burial they say he deserves.
