🚨💣 BOMB THREAT PROMPTS EVACUATION OF SAM’S CLUB IN SECAUCUS
Secaucus police evacuated a Sam’s Club on Friday afternoon following an anonymous bomb threat. Authorities found no explosives during a building search, and the store has since reopened while the investigation into the caller continues.
SECAUCUS, NJ — A Sam’s Club in Secaucus was evacuated Friday afternoon after an employee reportedly received an anonymous phone call claiming that an explosive device had been placed inside the store.
According to investigators, police were contacted at approximately 1:30 p.m. regarding the threat at the Sam’s Club located at 300 Park Plaza Drive.
🚔 Officers responded and assisted with evacuating the building while investigators conducted a walkthrough of the facility. A police K9 also conducted a sweep of the building as authorities searched for any potential explosive device.
🔎 No explosives were located, and the store was subsequently cleared and reopened to the public.
Police said no arrests had been made as of Saturday morning. Authorities have not released additional information about the caller or the ongoing investigation.
