Officials and developers are reportedly working toward an October opening, although Bass Pro Shops has not confirmed a specific date. A company spokesperson said the retailer is anticipating an opening sometime this fall.
The new location will be a major component of the Riverton development along the Raritan Bay waterfront and is expected to serve as the project’s first major opening.

The Sayreville Bass Pro Shops will span approximately 200,000 square feet, making it the largest single-level Bass Pro Shops location in the country, according to the company.
The store is expected to feature:

The Bass Pro Shops will serve as an anchor for Riverton, a massive mixed-use development planned on roughly 418 acres along the Raritan Bay waterfront.
The project is expected to include approximately 1,300 residential units, with 20% designated as affordable housing, along with:
