Trevon Drinks of Atlantic City pleaded guilty to drug distribution and weapons charges after a June investigation into threats made against his family. Police found a loaded handgun and narcotics, and the thirty-two-year-old now faces a ten-year state prison sentence.
ATLANTIC CITY, NJ — An Atlantic City man has pleaded guilty to drug distribution and firearm charges following an investigation that began with reported threats against family members, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office.
Trevon Drinks, 32, entered guilty pleas Monday to charges involving possession with intent to distribute cocaine and methamphetamine, along with illegally possessing a firearm because of his prior convictions.
The case dates back to June 2025, when Atlantic City police responded to a North Carolina Avenue residence after receiving a report that Drinks had allegedly threatened to shoot his mother. Prosecutors said investigators also learned of an alleged threat involving his sister.
🔎 Police subsequently obtained a search warrant for the residence.
According to prosecutors, the search resulted in the seizure of:

Prosecutors said Drinks' previous drug distribution convictions prohibited him from legally possessing a firearm.
⚖️ SENTENCING
Drinks remains detained at the Atlantic County Justice Facility while awaiting sentencing.
He is expected to receive a 10-year state prison sentence, including five years of parole ineligibility, under the terms outlined by prosecutors.
His sentencing is currently scheduled for October 27.
