šļøš„ 31-YEAR-OLD MOTORCYCLIST CRITICALLY INJURED IN LABOR DAY CRASH OUTSIDE MENLO PARK MALL šØ
A 31-year-old Metuchen man remains in critical condition after his motorcycle collided with an SUV outside Menlo Park Mall on Labor Day. Edison Police are investigating the crash, which occurred as the driver of the SUV attempted a left turn on yellow.
š EDISON, NJ ā A 31-year-old motorcyclist from Metuchen was critically injured Monday afternoon after a collision near Menlo Park Mall that reportedly ejected him more than 35 feet.
The crash happened around 1:32 p.m. on September 7, 2026, at the intersection of Parsonage Road and Menlo Park Mall Drive.
According to the preliminary investigation, a 2023 Kia Sportage driven by a 43-year-old Scotch Plains woman was traveling northbound on Parsonage Road when the driver began making a left turn into the mall while facing a yellow traffic signal.
At the same time, a 2023 Honda CBR motorcycle was traveling southbound on Parsonage Road when it collided with the front of the Kia.
š„ The force of the collision reportedly ejected the motorcyclist more than 35 feet from the motorcycle.
The motorcyclist suffered severe head trauma and was transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, where he remains in critical but stable condition.
The driver of the Kia was not injured.
