A 17-year-old is in stable condition after being struck by a car Sunday night on Wrangleboro Road in Galloway Township. The Galloway Township Police Department is currently investigating the crash, and no charges have been filed against the driver at this time.
📍 GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP, NJ — A 17-year-old was seriously injured Sunday night after being struck by a vehicle while crossing a roadway in Galloway Township, police said.
Officers responded at approximately 8:57 p.m. on August 2 to the area of Wrangleboro Road and Navesink Drive following reports of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle.
🚑 When officers arrived, they found the juvenile in the roadway suffering from serious injuries. The teen was transported to a local hospital and is listed in stable condition with injuries that are considered serious but non-life-threatening.
According to the preliminary investigation, 40-year-old Horatio Hibbert of Atlantic City was traveling northbound on Wrangleboro Road and navigating the curve near Navesink Drive when his vehicle approached a crosswalk and struck the juvenile, who was crossing the roadway.
The juvenile's identity has not been released.
🔎 The Galloway Township Police Department Traffic Unit continues to investigate the crash. Police have not announced whether any summonses or criminal charges will be issued.
