🚨 11-YEAR-OLD GIRL STRUCK BY VEHICLE IN HOWELL HIT-AND-RUN; POLICE INVESTIGATING

Howell Township Police are searching for a driver who fled after striking an 11-year-old girl’s foot on South Longview Road Wednesday evening. The child suffered minor injuries, and authorities are seeking information regarding a dark Honda Civic driven by a man in a suit.
HOWELL, NJ — The Howell Township Police Department is investigating a hit-and-run involving an 11-year-old girl that occurred shortly after 6 p.m. Wednesday, August 19, on South Longview Road.
According to the family, officers and first responders were dispatched at approximately 6:23 p.m. after the child’s foot was struck by a vehicle that then fled the area. 🚔
🚑 The girl was transported to CentraState Medical Center in Freehold for evaluation. Her parents later spoke exclusively with Garden State News Network, telling GSNN that they are thankful to report their daughter sustained only minor injuries.
👧 According to the family, the girl and several friends were playing soccer when her ball entered the roadway. A vehicle traveling toward the Windmill Club stopped to allow her to retrieve the ball. The family says another vehicle then came around the stopped vehicle, struck the girl’s foot and fled toward the Windmill Club.
🚗 VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: Police are seeking information regarding a newer-model dark gray or black Honda Civic. The driver is described by the family as a male believed to be in his mid-30s to early 40s, reportedly wearing a black suit jacket and white button-down shirt.
📹 CHECK YOUR CAMERAS: The girl’s parents are asking residents in the area to check home security cameras, doorbell cameras and dashcam footage from around 6:20–6:30 p.m. Wednesday for any footage that may have captured the vehicle or incident.
